A Grade 5 titanium keyway machined as a direct replacement for the steel axle keyway used on Charger rear ends. It drops straight into the same axle slot with no modification, so outlaw kart and jr sprint racers running a Charger rear axle can swap it in during a normal rear end teardown.
This key carries the full drive and braking load between the axle and the hub, and it lives right at the axle centerline where every gram is rotating weight. Grade 5 titanium holds the shear strength of the steel piece it replaces while weighing a fraction as much, and it will not corrode itself into an aluminum hub after a season of wet nights and pressure washing — which is what usually turns a routine key change into a ruined keyway.
