Lightweight titanium 5/16-24 fine thread socket head allen bolt, for rear hub pinch bolts, brake and chassis hardware on outlaw karts, junior sprints, quarter midgets and micro sprints. Takes a 1/4 inch allen drive.
The 5/16-24 fine thread is the size that shows up over and over on kart hub and brake hardware, and it is almost always steel from the factory. Titanium holds comparable clamp load at roughly 40% less weight, and because most of these fasteners live on or near the rotating assembly, the savings are worth more than the raw number suggests. It also will not corrode from washdowns, track moisture or long storage.
