Product Details

The original external hex design, back by popular demand. A 1/4-28 x 1.50 titanium stud with a 1/4 in external hex head, used as a lug stud and as a gear bolt, most commonly on go karts and quarter midgets.

Extra light and extra strong is the whole point of a titanium fastener at the wheel. Titanium carries the load a lug stud sees at roughly half the density of steel, and it does it without rusting into the hub, so the stud you install in the spring is the stud that still comes out clean in the fall.

The external hex head lets you hold the stud with an open wrench from the back of the hub while you torque the nut on the front, which is faster than fighting an internal drive with the wheel in the way. The nose is turned to a bullet shape so the wheel and lug nut find the thread on the first try.
