The standard steel 1/4-28 non-serrated flange nut with a 1/2 in head. This is the everyday replacement lug nut on go karts and quarter midgets, and it fits any hub already running 1/4-28 wheel studs.
The flange face is smooth rather than serrated on purpose. Serrations dig into the wheel and add friction as the nut comes down, which corrupts your torque reading and pushes the extra load into the stud instead of into clamp. A plain flange lets the nut seat evenly so 8 ft-lbs on the wrench is 8 ft-lbs at the joint.
Zinc plating keeps rust off the threads through wash downs, wet nights and long stretches in the trailer, so the nut still spins free when you need a fast wheel change.
