Product Details
A steel flanged, non-serrated lug nut sized for 5/16-24 wheel studs. It is the everyday workhorse nut for go karts, quarter midgets and junior sprints, and it drops straight onto any 5/16-24 stud.
The non-serrated flange face is deliberate: serrations bite into the wheel and add friction as you tighten, which throws off your torque reading and puts the extra load into the stud instead of into clamp. A smooth flange lets the nut pull down evenly, so the number on the torque wrench is the number the joint actually sees.
Each nut carries a colorful zinc coating to hold off rust and corrosion through a season of trailer time, wash downs and wet nights at the track.
